About Rebeka Lauks and Lauks Law
Rebeka Lauks is an immigration and refugee lawyer based in Toronto. Prior to starting her own firm in 2022, Rebeka worked at two internationally recognized immigration and refugee law firms in Toronto, as well as with the United Nations Refugee Agency in Honduras.
Since her call to the bar in 2014, Rebeka has used her client-centred and empathetic approach to successfully represent clients before the Federal Court and all divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, as well as in family sponsorship, economic, and humanitarian and compassionate applications.
Rebeka is also an instructor in Queen’s University’s Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law program. She previously taught in the University of British Columbia’s Extended Learning Certificate in Immigration: Laws, Policies and Procedures program.
She serves as a volunteer external reviewer and member of the Content Committee for with Community Legal Education Ontario’s Steps to Justice program.
Rebeka is also member of the Refugee Lawyers Association, the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers, and the Canadian Bar Association.
